(Trick created by Chris Neff)
Start off by throwing a 1 ˝ mount ( your hands will not be crossed ). Then
drop the strings off of your left index finger…so that you have a one-handed
trapeze of sorts. Swing the yo-yo around in a clockwise circle, for two full
revolutions. Aight, now you’ll still be in the one-handed trapeze, but with
more wraps of string on your ( right ) index finger.
There are basically three strings going up and down between your hand and the
yo-yo. The two leftmost strings form a loop. Insert your left index finger
in-between this loop and the rightmost string. Perform an underpass; bringing
the yo-yo around your left index finger in a clockwise direction and landing it
on the bottom string segment. Now drop all of the strings off of your right
index finger. You should end up in a trapeze.
This next move is kind of tricky – but probably the coolest part of the
whole trick – so you’ll want practice it a bit before going any further in
the trick. Anyway, swing the yo-yo around your left index finger in a clockwise
direction, like you’re doing the last part of Skin the Gerbil…but before it
completes a revolution or anything, swing it back around into a trapeze. Mmm, I
hope that made sense. The effect will be like the yo-yo hits a wall or something
and bounces back. Practice is the key to making this move look right. Try
watching the SuperYo Kickin’ Tricks video to see how it’s supposed to look.
So you’re back in a trapeze. Slide the yo-yo down towards your right hand
and off the trapeze ( like you would for The Matrix ). Act like your gonna go
into a 1 ˝ mount, but miss the string. The yo-yo will complete a full
revolution, and then just use a simple finger twist to get the resulting wrap of
string off of your right index finger. Let the yo-yo keep flowing toward your
left hand, around your left index finger ( intercepting the string, of course )
and land a Double or Nothing. Drop the loop of string off of your right index
finger and unwind to a trapeze ( i.e. swing the yo-yo around in a
counterclockwise circle, which will get you to a trapeze ). End with a ferris
wheel dismount or whatever and you will have completed Meltdown.
