Children's Program
We had a performance by The King’s Yomen in February. WOW!! The kids
were amazed by the flying yo-yos, and totally captivated by the Yomen. The
children watched and listened intently to the skits built around their yo-yo
skills, focusing on God’s love and protection of us. The children in attendance
were in grades 1st through 5th. Every age group was able to relate and take
home the message.
Our children are encouraged to invite their friends, of which many came
that night. I know the Yomen’s performance sparked an interest in many
of these young minds. We had also arranged with the Yomen to give
away yo-yos at the end of the performance. After handing them out, they
stayed a long while helping the kids adjust the yo-yos and teaching beginner
tricks to them. Personally, my 10 year old son did not put that yo-yo down
for about 3 weeks!!
We are scheduling the Yomen again for next year!
