| Description A man graced with the gift of yo finds himself rejected by his friends. The devil comes and tempts the man with fame and fortune. The man enjoys this for a time. He tries to break free from his self-serving life, but finds himself a slave to sin and the devil. The man hears of Jesus who breaks the chains of sin. The man puts off the old self and lives his life for God. Verses Romans 6:13-14 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. John
8:34-36 Jesus replied,
"I tell
you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a
slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs
to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." We use this skit to finish our program. For us it encapsulates the differences between living for yourself and living for Christ. It is our hope that everyone who sees our show will find that God is faithful and trustworthy in all things. Consequently, we should joyfully give everything we have to him (including our time, our minds, our talents etc.) |
