Though a well known trick, I haven't seen this trick illustrated
I don't think anywhere on the web. I'll explain this dismount from the trapeze
mount, but it actually can be performed from almost any mount.
Step 1
![]() |
We'll start out this trick using the trapeze mount. To learn all of the mounts used on this site go to Ken's World On A String. |
Step 2
| Insert your right index finger in between the two strings running down to the yo-yo. | ![]() |
Step 3
![]() |
Move your left index index finger down across the two strings running from your right hand to the yo-yo. |
Step 4
| As you continue to move your left hand down farther the yo-yo should hop over your left index finger. | ![]() |
Step 5
![]() |
As the yo-yo hops over your finger it should land on the two far strings. |
Step 6
| You should now be in this position. | ![]() |
Step 7
![]() |
Drop the string off your right index finger and you will arive in this position. |
Step 8
The last few steps should be performed in all one motion.
Pop the yo-yo up over and around your left hand.
Step 9
![]() |
The yo-yo will continue to roll around your left finger and dismount off the string. |
