This is another great trick to learn. I've found that it is a
lot easier to do wiith a brand new string. It seems to catch a lot when you are
using an older one. Once you can do it you will see why this trick is called
Double Pulley.
Step 1
![]() |
Drape the string over your right thumb. |
Step 2
| With your left thumb pull down on the string that is in between your right thumb and midle finger. | ![]() |
Step 3
![]() |
Keep pulling with your left thumb and let the yo-yo slide into the two highlighted strings. Right as you land the yo-yo drop the string off of your right thumb. |
Step 4
| You will now be in this position. | ![]() |
Step 5
![]() |
Changing views now. Hook the string coming down from your right hand with your left index finger. |
Step 6
| Next bring your right hand down below your left. | ![]() |
Step 7
![]() |
Pull down with your right hand to cause the yo-yo to pop out between your left thumb and index fingers. |
Step 8
| Land the yo-yo on the highlighted string. | ![]() |
Step 9
![]() |
You've now completed Double Pulley, I usually end it with a quick somersault. |
